Does any one know what pins to power, which to connect to earth, the CanL and H, and K lines on an MED9 ecu ?. I want to communicate with one on a bench test box. Cool

The car is not equipped with immo? What tool are you using?

Pin 1,2, 4 are ground.

pin 3, 5, 6, 92, are Relay switched 12V.

pin 67 ( Orange Brn ),68 ( orange blk ),  and 86 ( Gray White ) are the data pins.

that is all from a 2008 GTI.

There is no need for the K-line, although I wired mine up anyway.

Daz were you able to write using the bench harness without an immo defeat?

If it's on the bench then BDM it.
You can't write it without immo defeat, as it will reject security access.

What PRJ said. I can connect, but not write as security access blocks it. With the immo-off, I can read and write without an issue, but at that point I'd rather BDM as it takes half the time. The PITA is opening those things.
