So the problem is Porsche's ME7.8 and no decent commercial logger available. Durametric can do something, but no individual cylinder ignition retardation values (ie knock pull). They do not have any interest in developing their product. There are others like Maestro or Cobb AP3, but they seem to require a connection to certain (overseas) tuner.
My tuner, who mainly does Audis and VWs, pointed me to this direction. He tried to use the logger (version he uses for VW and Audi) but with limited success, only few actual values were available. Can anyone help with this....ie is there a way to make ME7logger to work with ME7.8?

Does ME7Logger connect to the Porsche ECU?
The few variables that were available, did they have sane values?

If the answer to both questions is "yes", or even the first question, then it is possible to build the .ecu file manually through disassembly of the ME7.8 binary an then use ME7Logger.

This is fairly labour intensive, but it can be done.
