Hey guys,

I a newbie when it comes to flashing files and have read all the stickies, but I cannot find any info on cross flashing mu ECU. I originally wanted my 551AK definition file, but I was advised to cross flash it with S4 M-box. Here is my question...

I see a couple of bin files but I am not sure which one to use (551M, 551L etc)...which one is the original stock/untuned S4 bin that I need to/can use with my ECU? Also I see some of the same files and one is for Bosch and another for Hitachi, is that based on the MAF or ECU or what?

There is so much valuable information on this forum, but it does get confusing or maybe I am not looking in the right places (have been searching for 2 days now)..

Please help!

Thank you in advance!

M is 6mt, L is tiptronic, use whichever matches your car.

Bosch/hitachi is the maf.

Lots of stock bins here: http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=5700.0title=

Or use the appropriate file from here: http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=6695.0title=

Thank you for the help! I downloaded the 551M bin (my car is a 6mt) from the second link!

In regards to the XDF file, which one would i need? I see there are some that start with an 8DXXXXXX and some that are 4DXXXXXX....I am assuming I would need the one with 4DXXXX but I am not sure...

Thank you again!

I suggest using the original 8d0907551M with that xdf and not the one that says 551M bosch. I tried to play around with that one and it was a headache trying to get rid of the checksums. Here is the proper xdf(s) and the proper stock bin you shouldn't have any problems with. Don't forget to fix checksums with this bat file as well. good luck.
