What is the "TunerPro Checksum"? Hint: Don't listen to morons.

nyet, I had/have no way of knowing whether, or not, they were "morons" when they stated the the Tunerpro Checksum plugin wasn't up to par with WinOls. Especially considering that I had never used either version in the past.

I will have to do a search here on Nefmoto, but I could've sworn that I've read some posts from Hero & Senior members, here, stating the same; That Tunerpro checksum plugin wasn't up to WinOls standards.  Again, I cannot be sure, until I do the search

Do they mean the mtx plugin? If I had a dollar for every time some dipshit complained about software but didn't bother getting involved in fixing it, i'd be a brazillionaire.

MTX is proprietary, but ME7Sum is not. Source is available.

And yet not a single person has sent me a patch. Ever. Certainly nobody from AZ or anywhere else lol.

"Omg this totally free software isn't as good as this $1500 software that I stole, now I have to pay $15 to MTX so I can do checksums. Omg"

The morons were probably complaining about the MTX plugin, now me7sum works and is free, I see no reason to bother with it.

Nyet - why would I need to patch perfection Wink

Touch(ass) typing is just one of the skills you pick up working for a soulless multi-national Cheesy

Assume there a bug tracker on the github page? I'll take a look if I get some spare cycles sometime, be good to at least take a look at the code.

Biggest problem with the MTX plugin was that nobody wanted to sell one, even when there were a significant amount of "shut up and take my money!" emails sent.

There is but I haven't opened a bug for the biggest issue: recursive checksums (i.e. fixing a checksum in an area covered by a checksum that was already just checked and corrected).

I had this problem. Two emails sent asking for payment information, never received a reply.

I then used nyet's ME7SUM, and it worked spot-on. Please set up a donation PayPal nyet!

No doubt, I donate to a lot of things that I find value in.  I know a lot of people create these things to help the cause and contribute to the community but there's people that don't have the same skill sets that could at least contribute back in a monetary form.
