Hello,

I'm desperated. I want to change the cluster in my 2004 touran.

I have a china vcds 12.12 (firmware 1.92), a china vcds 10.6 (firmware 1.84) and a china vag tacho 5.0 usb with k+can.

I tried vag tacho 5.0. It connects to the cluster but says "Wrong seed-key! Try manual mode for VDO". But when i try manual mode, it doesn't matter what i choose, an error occur "is not a valid integer". I think it is a bug in the cracked vag tacho. (see screenshot)
Vag Tacho connects over CAN-TP2.0.

I downloaded many versions of vag tacho but no other recognize my vag tacho cable - only the version that cames with the cable.

Now i tried to install the virtual com port for the vag tacho cable and try vag k+can commander 1.4, 3.0, 3.6 and 5.5 - no one connects.

Can anyone help me with vag tacho or how another software is usable?

I want to change the cluster, learn my old keys on it and change the mileage.

Thank you very much!

Thanks for the advise. I hoped that i can use the vt-cable for another tool to get on my cluster or the eeprom.

I already checked the original manufactor. I tought that vag tacho is a really china tool and not a clone, i'm sorry. I knew only VAGdashCAN before.
