so now i'm not able to even to connect to my ecu only threw vcds. and I can't access controller 1. but just to keep this short can I buy a mbox and put in my car instead of the abox??? I already have the Hitachi maf. i'm sure I can figure out how to code it to my car.

You can use any APB ecu. Yours is likely recoverable in bootmode however.

I bet it is. Can you point me in the right direction??? I do have the ross tech cable. I don't have anything else though. I have seen two different post telling me to ground pin 24 on the ecu. they each showed a different spot to ground.
I only ask about getting a new ecu so I have a back up plan. a sure ting to get the car running. but I will try to research as much as possible about it. but i'm sure you have personal experience with it so anything you can do help will be much appreciated.

as stated earlier I do not have the right tools they use in the s4 wiki. yes I looked in the wiki before posting that question. thanks for your help though
