How to log a DSG car?

Hi,
never owned one or had to log one of these.
How do i lot a car with autogearbox in 3rd gear?
We tried to log a mk5 gti but this thing goes down to 2nd gear

i believe you use the paddle to downshift from 4th to 3rd, but hold the downshift paddle down, and it wont drop a gear then. idk if you need sport mode or not
