Info for M592 and M383 are few and far between. Please post any info you have regarding M592 and M383.
The ff info is mostly 1.8t (AEB)
Most maps can be found using the M382 Clemens file (attached). Just search a string of hex and compare it your maps. Most will be the same or close.
FINDING DTC (codeword / codewort) This just removes the code, but doesn't remove the diagnostic. It'l still go limp and/or mess up your fueling/ignition/tune.
Most, if not all, DTC codes in the M592 and M382 are in one table. The table locations aren't in the same address in all versions of the ECU file.
Step 1. Search for "00 FF AF 00 96 00 97 00 98 00 99 00" (this is the start of the DTC table in the files I've been using. If not found search for "00 96 00 97 00 98 00 99 00")
Step 2. Using the M382 file, compare the sequence of DTC in that file with yours. The tables will not match 100% since the M382 DTC table is smaller than the M592 and some of the M382 DTC are turned OFF while the M592 is ON and vice versa.
Sample: M382 1B 00 00 FF 00 FF 00 FF E6 00 E7 00 M592 1B 00 00 FF 00 FF 00 FF E6 00 03 00 61 00 A5 00 00 FF E7 00
The values are the same except for the one in red. The M382 DTC maps are smaller, the red DTC is the additional DTC for the M592.
"1B 00 00 FF 00 FF 00 FF E6 00" is exactly the same for both M382 and M592. As is "E7 00".
Step 3 After completely labeling the DTC codes that have the same value. You'll be left with a couple of locations without a descriptor. Some of them are still for DTC. Like the LDP (not in the M382 file) but in the M592 file (right after the N75 DTC) or some of them are in the same position (relative) but turned ON in the M592 (Lambda 2, for example).
Step 4 (turning DTC off) To turn OFF the DTC, change value to "00 FF",
To turn back ON just revert to original value
