Hi, facing problem with these two lights. Since my ECU is not original, but other (VEMS). It doesn't work with ABS/AIRBAG. I have cable wich show:
ABS - 1 Fault Found:
8 - Powertrain Data Bus: Missing Message from ECU
            P1850 - 35-00 -  -
AIRBAG - 3 Faults Found:
65535 - Internal Control Module Memory Error
        00-10 -  -  - Intermittent
01228 - Airbag Cut-Off Switch for Passenger Side (E224)
        30-00 - Open or Short to Plus
01578 - Airbag Deactivation Warning Lamp; Passenger Side (K145)
        31-00 - Open or Short to Ground


Trying to clear AIRBAG codes giving me error and doesn't work...


Inspection is near so searching for solution to properly elimante these problems. It's common that these light goes out after some time if ignition switched on. ABS light goes first, AIRBAG several seconds later. I know it's possible completly remove these light and those one will be not visible at all. But that not that kind of solution i'm wanting.

My question would be is there any way to disable these light in 'legal' way ? Putting resistor or something to make sure inspection would go properly ?

Audi S4 B5, 2001, Stage 3

If I were you I would just leave the ECU connected so all the communication between modules will occur normally. It should work without any sensors connected - just power supply (including ignition switched), ground and all communication wires.

Ok, you saying connect everything up, right? But did you realize that i'm not on original ECU, which doesn't give any way connect those two and make them work... That's why searching for solution...

You can have stock ECU connected just for inter module communication purposes and have your engine managed by another different device.

Now i get it, but i don't have original ECU, so this trick doesn't gonna work...

Only one of those airbag codes looks related to your missing ecu..
