Im trying to learn how to find maps, from a damos.
They are not 100% the same, so i have to dig.
Are these 2 the same?

If I were you I would use text mode to compare maps in 2 different files. 2D mode is helpful when you are looking for a map of a well-known shape but you do not know where is it located in that exact dump (for example torque limiter in Bosch diesel ECUs).

But the values aint the same in those 2 - Is it still the same numbers in the hex?

Get them lined up windows connected in text mode. See if they match. Transfer map and sanity check it. 3D mode should be the same now.

They should match, even if the data inside the maps aint the same?

Different value is always different value - it does not matter if you look at it in binary, octal, hexadecimal or decimal system.

You should use common sense to tell if those 2 are same maps or not. To figure it out you can compare how other data fits. In your situation you have same address in 2 files - I would just compare if known maps are located at same address. Sometimes you can find offset between 2 files... It depends what are you comparing.

Found my first map.
A simple one, but thats a start.
I think my problem was, that i was trying to find KFZWOP from me 7.5 ecu. Dont seem like its possible

There is a fully defined MED9 file available in the forums somewhere. I usually use that as a basis when searching for undefined maps.

I got that one - But when im trying to compare and add the kfzwop, its just looking wrong. both axis and the numbers - Not totally wrong but enough, but im quite sure its the right place. Im just not sure how to get it to fit the ecu

It would be better for you to spend another days or two figuring it out by yourself actually. It ain't that hard really.

As already said, do a sanity check on the data afterwards.

Worst case would be if your axis definitions are totally off compared to the damos. Then you might need to do some disassembly if you want to be 100 percent sure.
