hi, i am about to change my maf to the hitachi and flash an m box file to my 2000 a box s4. the only problem im having is recoding the instrument cluster. how can i do this because i only have a trial version of the vag com software and i dont have 250 bucks to spend on the license and it wont let you do it with the free version. thanks in advance

Which data cable(s) do you have? If you have a serial OBDII cable you can do it with VDS-pro.

I think what phila_dot might be saying is there are some differences between the latest VCDS Lite version and the older Vag-Com 409.1. Namely, the 409.1 is somewhat less restricted in terms of licensing. Correct me if I'm wrong.

To run 409.1 fully featured, three specific files must be present. As it continuosly checks for the files, it also deletes them. A batch file can be run in the backround to copy the files from another location to replace them as they are deleted. |
