I use an Aoyue 968 3 in one station has been very reliable and they are reasonably priced .
I think I bought it from this uk company

I use chip quik to remove smd components if there is a risk of heat damage to near by components or blowing small smd's off at the same time.

i have used an old Oki brand one, pretty much they are all the same, they just blow hot air, its the tips that make the difference how they funnel the hot air to the chip. Not like a soldering iron where you can have a ton of difference.
