Hi All

Trying to squeeze what I can out of my stock AEB injectors and have read that AEBs duty cycle is limited to 85% at 16.32ms.  This is a little confusing because in my logs I don't see lean conditions once I'm pegged at 16.32ms.  Also have read that 16.32ms is only what ECU shows but injectors do actually go to 100% and this is seen on some Euro ECUs for AEB which go past 16.32ms.

Anyone know for sure if AEBs stop at 16.32ms or if they exceed this and 16.32ms is only a reporting limit of the ECU?

Thanks in advance.

Don't forget that

1) te!=ti
2) you never want to run an injector completely static

is that time te or ti?

Thanks for responding ,  guess I don't know enough about injection times  to provide more info;  This is the mean injection time from vcds channel 2 logging, does this help clarify?

Updated to Plug n play Bosch design iii red injectors 315cc (40$ for 4 EBAY)  I know how to adjust FGATO but unclear where to find map for TEMIN to adjust STFT.   Please let me know if you know this map location in M5.92 ECU.

many thanks

TEMIN, 6E74, 16bit, 0.001333 factor.

may help as well,
TLST, 6E68, 16bit, 0.010667 factor. Startgrundmenge, Quantisierung von te im Start, 16 Bit, ms.

also may want to adjust KFLF via % a bit to help with trims. this may not be the "proper" way to do this, but its worked just fine for me when compensating for fueling.

good luck.  Smiley

after 2 or so years i finally have a process to adjust fueling on these that i like and seems effective. o2 correction within a few %.

tlst was a big help for me. 17ms is too long for larger injectors.

So far I only adjusted FGATO downward and STFT is 2+% and LTFT is 3+%.  Surprised it is this good.  Maybe because I am also increasing flow due to running 33% e85 and the injectors are not enormous at 315cc?

idle seems fine , what does TLST do? Is it a voltage correction that I see discussed for those tuning ME7 injectors?

Searched and found the answer,  TLST is injector duty cycle at startup.  Too large and can flood when hot start.  Will see if it is an issue.  Now  to understand what TUVB or is it TVUB?  chime in if ya know

I have the impression that FGATO does not affect TLST, please can anyone confirm my idea or I am wrong?
