	GM FlexFuel sensor wiring requirements? « on: October 19, 2015, 09:02:10 PM »

Does anyone know if the ME7 hardware has what's needed to drive/read the GM ethonal sensor? Specificslly the pull-up. Not asking about code.

wiring: GM Part # 13352241
sensors:
GM Part # 13577394 - Long line version with mounting points.
GM Part # 13577379 - Short line version with mounting points.
GM Part # 13577429 - Basic sensor without mounting points.

Is there a simple way to do a resistance test between pin #61 or #20 and Huh

to see if there is a pull-up or pull-down resistor present?

Yes with ECU powered down, check resistance between VCC (+5 to ttl chips, not +12v) and pin and ground and pin.

If there is not a resistor, could we just add a resistor inline on the wiring harness between signal wire and power wire?

Also, where on the pcb is a good place to source vcc or sensor +5v if I add a resistor inside?

yes but the closer to the input the better.

Find a datasheet for an IC nearby. For DIPs and PSOPs, usually one of the corners is vcc
