hello

im looking at turning the IMMO off on a me3.8.3 iv only got tools kwp2000 and fgtech galletto 4.

been doing lots of research and haven't found anything concrete for setting up this ecu in boot mode.
i may have overlooked something on this topic, any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. i have not worked
with this ecu before

you havent found anything about bootmode because there is no bootmode for them.

I have also tried using a test clip with this chip but it's very hit and miss if it will work. Just grab a hot air solder station. They aren't expensive and mines paid for itself time and again

I get them off with a gas soldering iron and the hot air nozzle. A little lifting pressure off a scalpel blade and you can hear when the legs start to let go off the board.

Mark the board and chip obviously.  Wink
