Hello Friends

i have a question about a audi s4 year 1999 with old software 512 KB file

i have to tune this car !! it has bigger turbo K04 !!

so now the qustion

the car dont show on MB Block 112 in vcds the exahaust Temperatur in Degree !!

some people tells me that its possbile to change it and now should show the block 112 the exahaust temp in degree !!

did someone know if this is possible ??

the audi s4 has 2 exahaust sensores inside the turbos

vcds shows me only % i need to know the exact temp and lambda value

did someone know a solution ??

i know in % 10 = 940 degreee and 100 % is 1035 degree !!

it shows me 100% by full load !!

i get the error

17864 45C8 P1456 Abgastemperaturregelung Bank 1 Regelgrenze erreicht

17868 45CC P1460 Abgastemperaturregelung Bank 2 Regelgrenze erreicht

but the lambda Bauteilschutzt map is decreased !!!

maybe the fuel pump is the probleme or the injektors !!

king regards

old 29f400 ecu not show egt temp.
switch to 29f800 ecu and you see it.
translate errors to english please.
29f400 ecu is harder to tune but is possible to tune it correctly.

i know that these ecus not easy to tune but i have tune many of these ecus with good results !! i know what im doing !!

full load shows this error !!

17864 exhaust gas temperature bank 1 control limit reached

i think the injektors or the fuel pump are the problem !! the injektors are original from the s4 i will change the injektos to RS4

vcds shows me full load 100% that means the temp is 1035 degree

i think the engine get not enough fuel !! and temp is going up

but i want only to know if its possible to show the egt temp in degree without changing the ecu to 800 chip !!

So stock injectors with bigger than ko4s and you are confused why its lean... Okay.  How much boost are you trying to run?

i know what im doing !!

If you knew what you were doing, you'd replace the EGT sensors, you'd have proper injectors, and you'd use M-box code.

You need a wideband lambda, don't think about doing it without.  The EGT's don't even start reading to over 900c, so they are no real use for tuning, they are a protection mechanism.

EGT's need replacing by the looks of it, the code can be modified so that the EGT's do show up in vcds, but as mentioned, this isn't really going to help you.

Helllo friends

i know that all !!! that it is better to swap to M box and change the egt sensors

thank you for the information !!

but i want only to know is it possible to change the code from the c box to show the exahaust temp in degree !!

to my knowledge is it possible !!

this car is from a friend and i dont know if he want spend money for a mbox !!

for the moment the car runs with 0,9 to 1 Bar but its enough for the org injektors or the fuel pump to get a to high exahaust temp !! how i say under full loead i have 100% = 1035 degree

i will see it if  i changed the injektors !!

we have a fuel pump from the rs4 too

i will install a wideband lambda !! that is the best way !! thank you rick !!

but i will modify the code that the ecu shows me the egt in degree !!

i have done many of the s4 with bigger turbo you can believe me i know what i did !!

the best way is really to change to Mbox !! maybe i get one cheap

if the car is ready i will post a dyno result

for the moment i will say thank you for the answers !!

Why? What is the point if it doesn't read below 945C?
