Hello,

I have greek tune in my 1.8T that was made for E85.. I hooked upp my "Calibrated" Innovate today and saw that when im crusing on partial throttle or idle im around lambda 0.97 > STFT around 0..

So what do I do when fueltrims are ok but i dont seem to hit the target anyway. Is it KFKHFM to corret for MAF? Or FKKVS for injectors? OR KFLF - Lambda map at part load?  Im a bit confused

And why are you using someone else's tune?  Check all the fueling tables, and check BTS.  What is your measured EGT?

What are fuel trims?  Have they learned yet?

I logged with my innovate to se Lambda att partial throttle. Didnt have Me7 logger at hand tonite.
It a tune i bought for this old 1.8T many years ago and i suspect that its not 100% tuned for economy on E85. I dont have EGT gauge on this one.. so cant measure it. Im not worried for EGTs in this case.
BTS and LAMFA is at 1.0 in all areas where im cruising and ideling so i would expect that.

Yes Nyet I might stop messing with this tune and as you say throw it away it dont seems to be ok Wink

Can you explain every change made in the file vs stock?

If not, why are you even using it?

Why would you modify any fueling tables based off of that?

Sounds like you are open loop or one of your O2's is off. 

IF (big if) you're trimming to 0.97 and adjust fueling, you will just trim right back.

The engine has been running with this tune for over 4yrs with a frankenturbo setup. Im kind of sure those who made this tune did it correct from the start, but I fiddled around with the intake. So suspect that it has to do with KFKHFM.
Another idea stroke me today aswell.. ReWork the whole tune from scratch as an 1.8T  learning project. Either I fix the lambda issue or I load the org file and start a new project.

But open loop? Then i would´nt have all fuel trims working would I ?

Closed loop will trim to lambda 1. Calibration errors will only cause higher trims and will still run lambda 1 in closed loop.

Either you're open loop or one of your O2's is off.

I adjusted KRKTE some.. result was  LTFT abit closer to zero..  But what if i lets say want an idle and cruising around lambda 1.05? I mena Fuel trims will always force it to be 1.0...  What Table does the fueltrim go from?

WB cars trim lamsoni to lamsbg

I guess you had to find out for yourself, but like I said, changing the fuel cal to fix your percieved error doesn't make sense.

Your Innovate is wrong calibrated or you have placeed it wrong or you have exhaust leak messing your wb02 readings.

Ahh.. That exaplained alot to me!. Didnt know that there was a constant.. Im from the standalone world so im still trying to get a grip on how me7 operates. Im used to setting lambda 1.0 in lamda target table.

I took the sensor out and cleaned it from som old deposits and recalibrated it.. Also checked for leaks in DP and it was ok..  Its now much better. Ocilatates between 0.97 - 1.0 - 1.05..   Before it ocillated from appr. 1.0 to 0.95.

Those comercial Widebands ALLWAYS show some errors... a friend of mine wich works in GM made a bench test with inovatte, and some other brasilian wideband controllers compareted with Oribas and they show something about 0,03 points derivating from Oribas, and this without having pressure (backpressure in engine)...

If STFT is lower than +/- 8% (it shouldn´t be 0%, has to oscilate next to, but never allways equal zero) you probably has all set well
