Hi,

i bought Passat with 1.9TDI (ATJ) and on the way home it blew the head gasket. After considering my options, decided to get partial refund from seller and look for new engine.
Now I got good offer of 1.9TDI (AVF) which is newer and with only 240 000km. Only thing is that seller was not able to get the ECU for it right now (would take month or so) as it is in another location as the engine.

So my question is, can i:
I) run the engine with current ECU (038 906 019 DM), with some fine tuning
II) run the engine with my ecu, flashed with AVF ECU bin
III) I have to get ECU for AVF (found 038 906 019 GQ near by, but would cost almost the same as the engine)
