Misfire behavior but no misfire
« on: February 25, 2017, 02:48:37 PM »
Hope someone can help.
On low load every thing is fine, but if i give it some load the engine start to shake just like misfiring, but no misfires are detected.
Log attached, if other variable are needed let me know.
thanks

you got knock that sticks out with the glance i had at it, but not enough to warrent engine shaking i think.(5 degree peak)
and it also looks like youre having problems following desired AFR (probable cause of knock?)

This is misfire. The lean spikes on WB are misfire events.

Maybe a torn wastegate line?
I disabled ARMD and theres no shaking, but boost is out of control making my clutch slip.
will have to do a boost leak test, but it will have to wait a bit as my kit is with a friend...

To give a conclusion to this...
It was infact misfires, but for some odd reason ecu did not assume them, in past ocasions they appear in logs and vcds, but not this time.
I have some spare coils that I replace one at a time to find that was cylinder 1 coil that was bad.
clutch was sliping because it's already a little weak and as boost was increasing fast after misfire events, it sliped.
all good now.
thanks
