So I stumbled on this little gem, it looks to be a fully defined .bin for a Bugatti Veyron.

Anyone able to verify if this is what I think it is?

***EDIT: the file is legit!!!! Smiley I looked up the VMAX and it's 405 km/hr*** don't think there are many other cars that it could be Wink

The .bin file looks suspiciously small?
Also the VMAX would be higher since the original top speed was higher than 405(407)
Not dismissing it completely, but it just looks a little off to me Smiley

.bin looks like an ME9 file though. Just because it's a Bugatti doesn't mean that it would have any more maps than any other car.

That said, how many cars are there out there which can top 400 km/hr?

As well, the Veyron was ordinarily limited to 400 km/hr unless you got out a second key which activated the top speed mode. This lowered the suspension and put the aero into a low drag configuration which would be reset if you hit the brakes. So the 400 KM/hr v-max found in this file actually matches the non-top speed run speed limiter.

The other reason I think it's legit is that it came straight from Bosch. The ori and map pack was made from a .HEX and an a2l. straight from a bunch of DAMOS files that appear to have been leaked directly from Bosch.

Its a weird file size.
There is obviously 2 ECU's in this car just like the W12 Bently only this is a 8.0 W16 which is indicated in the file.
The 2 ECU's are identical however, even the eeproms.

I haven't looked inside, but most likely it's just the cal section.
And that said, this all is completely pointless.

Believe it or not but the ECU is not special just because something has more liters or more power.
Just take a look at some heavy duty machinery and trucks, that have more power than the Veyron. The ECU's are fairly simple, even when the engine is 30 liters.

Also, tuning an industrial ship loader to have sharper hydraulic response and wave around it's huge arm around faster is a whole new ballgame. Especially after you get out of it and watch it go at it...
You can also fit inside the DPF tube.

running those on a chassis dyno is more trivial than actually tuning them.

Well, if exotic definition files are no big thing, would you care to post up any exotic definition files that you have?
