Hello,

it is possible to enable EGT probe on AUDI A4 1.8t BEX?

Which maps or bits I need to change?

I don't see the point of adding a narrowband EGT probe.

A wideband makes more sense, but requires a bit more work.

Aren't we talking a actual EGT probe like on the S3 and Leon Cupra R?

Not sure but most of the stock EGT sensor stuff in ME7 is narrowband. the RS6 (iirc) is one of the few exceptions.

I don't know much about the S3 and Cupras but their EGT code is likely different from any A4 1.8 code.

As far as I know, the BAM 225bhp K04 has an EGT probe in turbine housing and is me7 wideband Smiley

And my interest is for transverse K03s 1.8t (sorry for the thread jacking)

Ah. I did not know that!

Would it be possible to EGT through probe instead of modeled EGT with code words and/or maps on wideband me7?

Given that the code is present, or is it a system constant?

(Split topic if needed Smiley )

I was under the impression that ME7 with wideband support (eg. the RS6) uses sensor values instead of modeled values when applicable already.

I could be wrong, and BAM, s3 etc might be different.

I want to by BAM ecu and write dump from my ecu(8E0909518AN 1.8t BEX) inside, becouse my ECU doesnt have electronics for EGT probe(pin 61).
So if anybody know how to enable egt probe in my ecu(which maps, bits)?

Ineed this protection because I have modified engine(GT35R,630cc, 2.0t stroker,....).

Why would you overwrite the BAM ecu with BEX if BEX doesn't have WB EGT support?

If that ECU doesn't physically have pin 61 connected to a pwm input (and/or whatever other electronics required for EGT) why would you want to use that ECU?

I'm not sure I follow your reasoning.

A4 (1.8t BEX) have different cooling system (J293-coolant control module pin24) and BAM ECU doesnt have this pin in use(ELSAWIN).
If it is possible to modify cooling system even better Wink.

If the ECU you want to use does not have a pin to connect the EGT sensor to, no amount of map modifications will make it work... unless I'm missing something from your question..

It does not. No ME7 does that.
EGT is used only for ATR PID. No difference between RS6 and 1.8T either.
Any 32mhz 1.8T wideband ECU can take EGT PWM input.
Have not checked on BEX, but BEX has 40mhz processor, firmware not compatible.
