EGT is used only for ATR PID.

I assumed he meant ATR, not BTS, since BTS is designed around the concept of EGT model rather than actual EGT.

I also assumed narrow band ATR PID wasn't really a PID at all...

So my only option is to change cooling system?
Do you know if some Audi A4 or Passat have EGT probe(I have check in ELSAWIN by part number of EGT probe06A919529 ,B,C,D and only Audi TT,A3,VW Jetta,Bora)

Explain your purpose. How do you want the EGT sensor to work? How do you want to use its input?

I am asking this because if you just install a 3rd party EGT gauge/sensor with "alarm" function, you could use the safety feature of energizing a relay to cut boost for example. Then you can still keep your cooling system as is.

Do you intend to use it to trigger TABGBTS and BTS component protection as in replacing the EGT model by real EGT? That would be nice if possible.

Explain please!

Yes I want TABGBTS AND BTS component protection and replace EGT model by real EGT.

How about stop assuming and start reading FR?
Might make fewer silly statements that way...

Not possible without code changes.

Best solution for the author would be to swap the bam ecu into the car and re-wire whats necessary.

I dont know about abs, esp and gearbox/speed input and so on.

Hacks are needed anyway, so might as well use a 2nd o2 sensor signal and feed it with EGT analog output. Then write custom code for BTS enrichment based on this new input. I think it will take much longer to rework the original software to do the tasks you desire.

Thanks for replies,

Does anybody know what kind of signal ECU is sending over pin 24 to J293-coolant control module 8E0959501AG(AB,K)?

Dear PRJ,

I have find ECU that is maybe 32MHz .

8E0906018B it is comming from 1.8t Audi A4 AVJ from 11/00 to 09/01 and it have pin 24 for controling cooling system(same wiring as my 1.8t bex).
Is it possible to write dump from 8E0906018B to BAM ecu and enable EGT probe?

I am comparing bin files( some areas are shifted).
Can somebody tell me if these maps are sufficient for enable EGT probe?

I was under the impression that ME7 with wideband support (eg. the RS6) uses sensor values instead of modeled values when applicable already.

I could be wrong, and BAM, s3 etc might be different.

RS6 doesn't do that, EGT is only used in ATR.
Thought about patching it into BTS, but never got to it. Model is quite accurate anyway.

EDIT: bleh, went to reply before reading till the end. :\

Oh well, then here's the idea to implement "real" EGT into BTS:
Quick and dirty hack that comes to my mind: find reference to FBSTABGM and replace the axis lookup "mov     r14, tabgbts_w" with "mov     r14, tabg_w" (or tats_w).
There are couple downsides to this approach, but it generally should work (that is, if you have wideband EGT sensor already functioning with stock code).
