I've seen in a handful of threads about setups hitting the ps_w cap and underscaling KFKHFM and KFLF as a workaround. Those threads all turned into 5120 talk
(I know this is the better solution). Could someone give an example of how to properly scale these maps to avoid maxing ps_w? I imagine I would taper downward (as load goes up) the highest load and rpm areas in KFKHFM, and do the same tapering upwards in KFLF. Changing the last 3 axis rows of load to match between both maps. Is this correct?
Yes, in a nutshell there is not any more to it than that. Not much more to say here than what you already said. Where ever you need extra overhead for ps_w is where you would scale back KFKHFM (and then scale up KFLF to balance the changes).
