Ok help me understand one thing, i notice the checksum tool does do the work for me, but i have been trying to to the check ums manually. i got it pretty close but when i compare my edit against the checksum calculators threes always difference. im just playing around trying to figure it out, i know 60000 is not a real softcoding for this ecu but just tinkering around.
Ok so softcoding is FF FF (65535) which it s currently set at. so i change to 60 EA in both locations (60000 byte swapped) so i have took 5535 from 65535 to get the 60000 (new testing coding) now where do i add/subtract that figure from, i understand the sum gos to checksum locations. but do i add/subtract this number from the new softcoding, old softcoding or from the old checksum?
