Hi,

I tried to read a PIN code from RB4 cluster (8E0920900L) with "vag eeprom programmer 1.9", as program requires I set cluster mode to "new mode" and after that when I tried to read decrypted eeprom I'm getting an error "Not an audi a4 RB4 encrypted". Now I cannot set cluster to adapted mode, because I'm always getting same error. But it allows to read encrypted eeprom. Anybody have any advice what could be a problem of this? I successfuly read several RB4 cluster before and did not have any problems... Is it possible to extract pin code from encrypted eeprom? I'm attaching what I was able to read, but it seems that it does not have any info...  Undecided

Your file is garbage. As far as i know, only way to fix crypto dash is via obd in the actial car with the right tool.
Do you have SAFE message in the dash?
Where are you from?

I've tried to read from ECU at first but it is MED711 (a4 2.0 fsi, 2003y) vag commander was unable to read this ecu. At this moment only ecu lights is working, main screen and mileage shows no info.

Car do not start because of immo. On the cluster works only warning lights, trip computer and mileage are off. I've found an eeprom in the internet from the same cluster. But do not know the pin code. Anybody can confirm if it is a not corrupted dump? Not sure if "vag eeprom programmer" will be able to write back this dump.

All of this will not work with a crypted dash.
You need expensive Tools.

Read everything you will find for rb4 in here or other Forums.

you need to open dash , read your file , write this file and see if all ok , after find login on ecu and adapt. ore if dash is ok , do immo off on ecu.

VAGEepromProgrammer works with either crypted or noncrypted RB4s. The problem is a lack of knowledge how to use it, so it often comes back with DEF.

Anyways, cluster mentioned above is one of the noncrypted and can be easily fixed via obd or with a programmer.
