Hi everyone Smiley

This is all reiterated in the map pack provided (comments tab) but just in case I will leave full instructions here as well.

I have made a simple function that can disable NOLRA on the fly using the Cruise Control Switch.

In this case NOLRA is set to 7 using some custom code which will completely disable LTFT for tuning purposes. This function will be triggered with cruise control disabled only (Main Cruise Switch Off).

Setting NOLRA to 7, according to DD, was the way to eliminate LTFT altogether.

Setting NOLRA to 5, according to the S4 Tuning Wiki, is the proper way to do it.

If you would like to switch NOLRA to 5 from 7 all you must do is take the first digit of this map and change it from a 7x to a 5x.

I.E if this map is 78 (In 8bit Hex View) then you will switch this map to 58 to accomodate for a NOLRA of 5.

I understand that this may not be of any help to most if not all of you but it's just a test function I have been working on for switchable mapping and if anyone can use this function to their benefit, here it is!

As long as cruise control is active this function will not work and NOLRA will return to its original programming.

Sincerely,

Christian

Looks like Neft isn't letting anyone add any attachments as of right now? Either way here is the link Smiley

I honestly have never tried 5, always 7 so this is why I have set it up like this Smiley

Hey, Christian. Cool patch, and thanks for sharing. Can you be more specific about how to activate/ de-activate the function? Just using the cruise control on/off?

Cruise switch on = OEM operation
Cruise off = no trims

Thanks

Is it possible to implement this on all ME7.5 or 7.5.5 ECU Bins? I will take a look and see what's involved. Thanks for this awesome share!

I know it's been ages, but if you'd be so kind and implement this in my stock BIN, I'd be very grateful and most definitely give you extensive feedback. The 1.8t has been getting some work done and is finally ready for more tuning.

PS: I just wanted to point out that my factory NOLRA is set to 36 (decimal) and to disable LTFT I am setting it to 7. You can find it at 0x19188.

I got my fingers crossed that I get a reply from you here ;-)  Cool

Here you are, sorry for the delay!

Cruise ON = NOLRA @ your stock value.
Cruise OFF = NOLRA @ 7 as per your request.

If any issues pop up with it not functioning let me know.

Checksums are correct Smiley

Thank you, this is so awesome, I really appreciate it and will report back shortly with results.

Can you elaborate at all on the source of the code change or what area of code was over/rewritten?

Best wishes,
LPH

No problem.  There is not much to it and some basic disassembly skills should explain all Smiley

Basically just finding where NOLRA's value is gathered from and redirecting the value depending on the condition (in this case cruise control on/off).

What would you like your NOLRA, when switched, set to?
