Help replacing with new ECM in my 2012 VW CC
« on: December 25, 2017, 02:10:45 PM »
Hello,
I am trying to replace faulty ECM in my 2012 VW CC, with a new OEM ECM. As per Ross-Tech wiki
Ref:http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/Immobilizer_III_ECU_Swapping
, I need to retrieve PIN of the car in order to integrate my new ECM.
I got the original latest Vagtacho and ran it with my car, it shows me the following but, didn't quiet help in retrieving the PIN:
Connecting VDO V1&V2 MY2009-2011 CAN bus UDS protocol...
Connected!
Access Granted!
Trying to Read Immobilizer PIN code...
PIN code: 00000
Part: 3C8920970Q
ASAM: EV-Kombi_USD_VDD_RM09
FAZIT: VD1-04803.02.11273
VIN: XXXXXXXXXXXXXX
SW: 0420
Date: 03.02.2011
Could anyone suggest me how I could find out the PIN/ integrating my new ECM into the car?
Thanks a ton!

Its a Bosch, 06J 907 309 B model ECU
Went to VW dealership yesterday and got it replaced with OEM 06J906027FD model ECU. I should have asked them for the PIN/SKC

Most virgin modules will adapt to the car

They will not give you PIN because they can't see it. Itis done online through geko for a very long time now.

The part 3C8920970Q which you tried to access is the cluster, but for Passat (CC) the cluster doesn't hold the immobilizer.
Instead the immobilizer can be found in the comfort (CCM) module, which is located behind the glove box.
If you still want to have your pin (not sure what you expect to be able do with it) then you need to read the 95320 eeprom from the comfort module. Most big tools can decode it; you can also attach here and PM me for decoding
