You might want to stay in a tighter box than that. I think there are two boot ROM versions out there for the 1.8T DBW's and files from one version will not boot/run on the other's hardware.

Update after playing with poly-meter. The red circled pin resistor does not have power, the other pin of the same resistor has. I stay at this one cause is the closest to the supply. Probably a burnt resistor? Uploaded with ImageShack.us

You might want to have a chat with "Nottingham"... you both share the same ecu... His one is still working. Same probs with bootmode and crap. Smashed his galletto to pieces, putted ecu back, and it works... This is one stuborn ecu... As he has the same ecu, he might be able to provide you vital info. http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=1586.msg15211#msg15211

Some measurements of the resistor (130 Ohm):
Voltage (DC) between the left side of this resistor and ground:
left side of resistor -> 2.5V right side (the circled one) -> 0V
The resistance between ground and the right side of the resistor:
left side of resistor -> 4.97k Ohm right side (the circled one) -> 0 Ohm
Resistance between the left and right side of this resistor:
4.97K Ohm

Good news! I bought an 032QN ECU from ibiza fr 1.8T 20V mk4. With the help of member Nottingham, thank you , immo was defeated and car after flashing is running like a charm. Airbag's light is on but i guess has nothing to do with the ECU. No i ll focus on reviving the old ecu or at least learn from my mistakes.

Thanks for the effort, boot pin was shown on page 1 (not now for some unknown reason).

My only option is always to use friend's flasher (can't remember the product name, but it is italian if i'm not mistaken). My ME7.5 doesn't want to go into boot mode the easy way... For example in tutorial you have to ground pin 24 for 3 seconds, but in my case if I hold it for 3 sec and then release it it, no tools can connect to it via boot mode (boot mode is simply inactive), only through kwp2000. So what I have found out (by using multimeter and mentioned earlier flasher) is this: you have to be very precise when you're holding pin24 to the ground. In my case it is about half of a second before any tool tries to connect via boot mode and then quickly release it, otherwise ECU won't allow to upload bootloader. But even then software hangs up at a later point (for example nefmoto -> determining of boud rate). Any ideas what to do to make it incar possible? Has anyone succeded in this on me7.5??
