Hi m_haiser,
I'm afraid that I don't fully understand. I read your post and it says that you copied a handful of maps from the community tune to the tune your already running.
What tune are you already running exactly?

I really don't understand.

All the best
O.T.

No mention of spec, engine, goals, what you actually changed, how you changed it, what do you expect from your changes...

fair enough I was a bit too vague. I have a 2002 allroad apb tiptronic.
I used the community stage 1 2.7t bin to copy fueling/boost pid/and ldrxn maps onto a copy of my bin (which currently just has egt coded out)
so I guess what I'm asking is if those maps are copied correctly, and if this will work as a starting point to a "stage 1" map.

ok starting over on the whole stage 1 thing, working using the community stage 1 project as reference. ive got mrfa change to go from 50-97%
however when I open lamfa I don't have an rpm range, the left side of the table starts at 0.0 then to 5120 and alternates back and forth between those.
is this another table I need to change or is something not meshing between the 4z7907551m bin and the 551l xdf?

You have to use a definition file for your file.

do you really think recommending cross flashing is a good idea? cuz i dont. what are you learing by flashing someone elses work? nothing thats what. how to locate maps is very easy and i feel a better understanding of the ecu and logic should be had by noobs to cut down on the nonsense threads.

Yea, I know. There is a middle ground though, where you can recommend starting with stock and a well defined xdf. I think there is plenty to be learned there (without having to make your own map definition), as long as he isn't just flashing the community file.

And I'm also not opposed to people just flashing the community file, because at least everyone that contributed has given their own tacit permission for others to blindly copy it.

That is NOT true with commercial tunes...

No, you shouldn't but you WILL LOSE IMMO

Get a spare ECU and/or back up your eeprom before flashing.
