Hello,

MK1 TT 2002 BAM

I'm doing some remapping and getting to a load of about 190, I have set the AFR to be from 1.0001 low revs to 0.7813 at 6K revs. After doing some 3rd gear runs and looking at the loggs the actual AFR is holding up fine against the requested.

Does any body know when the standard injectors run out of steam?

Thanks

Ian

Tune & Log attached

The car has the follwing mod's;

- Complete 3" exhaust
- Decat
- F23 turbo
- Stainless exhaust manifold

The head has been refurbished, new water pump timing belt etc, compression is good on all cylinders (180).

Thanks,

I can see from the log that the Injector duty cycle is maxing out at about 88-89%, does it go to 100% or is it like the wastegate duty cycle that normally only goes to 95%?

90% IDC is max for injectors, maybe 95% for high power higher risk situations but thats it. you never want to go above 95 or 100.

KRKTE and TVUB at minimum , that is for any injectors. TEMIN maybe aswell as FKKVS

Cheers,

I see there is a KRKTE calculator, can the TVUB, TEMIN and FKKVS be calculated or are they trial & error IE map, log, change map, log...?

Also any pointers to start with?

Thanks

You should start with some basics
440cc piece of crap
You should buy 550cc or just a 4 bar fpr (420cc on a stock ones)
But 90% pretty safe result.  They can hold k04 as well
And btw yes you can go above 100% a bit it's not good but iirc afr holds up to 110% idc

Already got the 440's and a 265LPH pump, so will go with these for now and see what happens, can all ways get the 550's later.

The current aim is 300BHP, but I think it will max out around 270-280BHP without doing the 5120 Hack or fixing the Wastegate Duty Cycle at specific percentages at specific revs.

I've been ramping up the maps and I'm at 19psi boost desired with actual boost spiking at the 22.3PSI ME7.5 ECU limit, I've got 1 or 2 maps to go before having to implement the 5120 hack (don't want to fix the Wastegate Duty Cycle, seems like a blunt instrument).

A couple of questions;

- Should I be worrying about the actual boost spike (graph attached) and what would cause it?
- Has the 5120 hack been well documented anywhere, as I can't find a comprehensive document for it?

Thanks

What is point of going over 100%? They won't trow any more fuel

No reason to run k04 over 1.4 bar boost
And anyway it cannot push over 220 gs and 1.3 bar at redline
So the idea of running 5120 and 440cc gives you headache with no noticeable result
