Hi there ! I'm completely noob with this, so asking You for little help.
I have ibiza 1.8t 20v. I'm thinking to reflash it with standard cupra R file.
Mechanicaly they are completly same, you can even put cupra R ECU, adapt immo and it will run just fine.
So, my question is, can i flash it directly ?
Do i need to correct checksums ?
Both have immo2, can i have any issues with immobilizer ?

Thanks in advance!

Check your engine code before flashing:

Some Cupras with AQX engine code have 282cc/min injectors instead the 317cc injectors found in AYP.
You might want to check the KVB value from your original and the new file. Of course it is not that hard to check the part number from the injector itself:

06A906031AB = 282cc
06A906031BA = 317cc

Otherwise the engines are mechanically identical, yes.

Thanks for reply.
My engine code is AQX, not sure about injectors, will check them tomorow.
So, what about checksums and immo ?

Changing the flash does not require re-adapting the Immo.
Also the checksums seem to be fine for the files so there should not be any problems.

Alright.  Smiley
I had checked my injectors and they appears to be 282cc ones. So, it takes me some time, to buy a 317cc at a decent price. Finally got a set from eBay.
On past weekends i had managed to reflash my ibiza whith a cupra R SW successfully! Cheesy Using dumb eBay blue cable and latest release of nefmoto flasher!  Wink
Car starts and works well, throws no codes etc, so i've started to change injectors and other stuff like im and tb gaskets, seals and plastic seats cuz old ones were leaking badly.
And ofcourse one of the new plastic seat decided to crack...   Now waiting for 2-3 days till new one arrives.  Cry

Thank You all guys! That's an awesome forum! I will keep reading more, cuz i think i will go for st1 next time.
Need to finish .kp first.  Wink And understand NB ECU fuelling  Smiley

Completed.  Smiley
Car runs great, and everything is fine.
Also my vac is now in place, due to new seals and gaskets.  Wink
Cheers!

Sorry about bringing this topic back up, but..

I have an AYP engine with those 317cc injectors and was about to flash the R bin to my ECU.
The only thing that has worried me and stopped me from doing so is the following:

The Original checksums logs from ME7Check that the topic starter has posted both have the same EPK.
My EPK is slightly different though. (See attached file)
Instead of ME71 it says ME7.5.
Now those two are different versions. Will I have any issues writing this R.BIN to my ECU?
I can't seem to figure it out. (Without actually trying, of course  Grin )

I'm a little curious myself if the last post would actually work, since I do not have a spare ECU yet, i can't try

Yeah was possible using the nefmoto software. Great piece of software. Just try and read first and compare the read file with the tuned one  Grin

Hmm i'll try to take the r.Bin File and Chance the settings of the injector to mine, Check and correct checksum and Flash it to my ECU. I'll Report my experience then Smiley

Is it normal that my ECU says "this is the RAM Program"? When I read out?

Yes. When in programming mode that is what it will say.

As stated above, that's normal yeah.  Grin

Don't use the R.bin as it's a clean file. Needs much work. Use the file out of this topic:

http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=8327.0

I've already modified it for an AYP engine with injectors blah blah.. It's a good read! Will save you a lot of time.

Search for:
180ps_cupraRplus.bin (512 KB - downloaded 5 times.)
