Ok, so i have an octavia VRS and got the map file from it. Did a bit of looking around and came across a Definitions file for "my ECU" (it's actually for a golf) and on that file there is a folder named "AL/NLS" and in that folder there are things symbolising launch control and no lift shift.

My question is, does my car have launch control and lo lift shift and how do i enable it?

Many thanks to anyone that can help with this  Grin

Doubtful your file has it.

The defs are there for files that have the commonly used ASM patch.

But then why does it have parameters set for example launch RPM is set to 2304rpm and accelerator pedal threshold is 48% and the minimal spark start time (FTOMN) is set to 0.2ms and the speed threshold is 3km/h.

The car has been slightly modified (not properly might i add) It has a K04 hybrid, full turbo back milltek exhaust and was dyno'd at 286hp

might i add, i would love to have that functionality but honestly have no idea where to start to get it on there. I'm new to the TFSI / MED9 scene. most of the guides are basically just gibberish to me xD I do have a KESS v2 from when i had my passat and used that to get the file off the ECU

but then how would i go about using it. I wasn't told anything by the previous owner. The car also has aftermarket cruise control with an aftermarket clutch switch. Would that have anything to do with it?

If you don't post an actual file, how could anyone know and help you with an answer? I'm sorry but my crystal ball isn't answering just now.

After reading a little, i came across this "0x1A34B: Change FTOMN "minimum opening time" to 0 to enable anti-lag and no-lift shift." Is that literally all i have to do?  Huh

That was a reference from this post http://www.nefariousmotorsports.com/wiki/index.php/Adding_anti-lag_launch_control_and_no-lift_shift
