Has anyone disassembled or otherwise got factual information about what happens when MAF reading reaches it's maximum value (from ECU point of view)?

From my limited personal experience, it throws code about it and actual reading flatlines (at least that is what ECU tells outside). However, does it at that point ignore MAF reading and only use wideband O2 sensors for calculations? Is there delay and how quickly it recovers? My hypotesis is that it also skips torque calculations at that point. From my experience, car still runs fine while MAF maxed out, but i can't truly confirm that.

Aftert reading comes below maximum value, it again works normally.
