Hi

I have searched and searched but cant find too much info on this, could someone give me a quick breakdown on what maps need to be changed for a stage1 tune?

usually include the following..

Lambdakennfeld bei Teillast
Berechnung aus Drosselklappenwinkel, Nockenwelle spät
Drehzahlbegrenzer
LDR-Sollwertbegrenzung
Kennfeld LDR-Sollwert
Zündwinkelkennfeld
Lastschwelle für Turbo-Überladeabschneiden
Kennfeld Höhenkorrektur für LDR-Sollwert
Luftmassendurchsatz ML-Schwelle für B_maxflr-Diagnose HFM/HLM
TV - Kennfeld für LDR

What do each of the maps do?  such as load maps and lambda.

I know what are the timing and lambda maps, fairly sure which ones are load.

Is there no hard rev limiter in the M3.8.3 ?

While driving it feels like running into a wall, its no typical bambambam sound.

DTC: 00543 035 Drehzahl nach Maximum überschritten

What do each of the maps do?  such as load maps and lambda.
I know what are the timing and lambda maps, fairly sure which ones are load.
It will be easy to understand if you compare them with maps playing simiral role in well documented ME 7.5. I think they can be compared as follows (ME7.5 vs ME3.8.x/ME5.9.x):
LAMFA (+ KFLBTS & KFDLBTS & KFFDLBTS + KFLAMKR & KFLAMKRL + ?KFLF) = (KFLF) Lambdakennfeld bei Teillast
NMAX = (NMAX) Drehzahlbegrenzung
LDRXN = (LDSMXN) LDR-Sollwertbegrenzung
?KFMIRL = (KFLDS) Kennfeld LDR-Sollwert
?KFMIOP = (KFTLWS) Kennfeld für tL - Berechnung aus Drosselklappenwinkel, Nockenwelle spät
KFZW = (KFZW) Zündwinkelkennfeld
?KFDLULS = (KFLUL) - Lastschwelle für Turbo-Überladeabschneiden

I defined, translated, and categorized the SHIT out of the 557P file. Fueling is still a bit hazy though.

Anyone have success disabling the Rear O2?

S4 wiki has:

CDKAT - Cat diagnosis in OBDII-Mode.
CWDLSAHK (0x18663) - Code word for probe aging after KAT[39]

but my 558M definition has neither.

Readed many info about ME7.5, but it not looks very similar to M3.8.3 to me.
Maybe some basic how it works in 3.8.3

Very resumed:

1 - Load [ms/umdr] is opening time to obtain lambda =1

2 - Load = torque x factor

3 - ECU just request load (that is torque, that is translated to MAF reading through Grundanpassung KHFM) and pulse N75 accordly to reach the requested load

4- Fuel is only based on MAF reading with temperature and TPS corrections
