This was very helpful. Thank you. Anyone have any pre-me7 reading recomendations? I'm interested in m3.83/5.92, but anything I need to read prior to getting into that is welcome.

In the 06A906018CG_352127 ECU I cannot find the parameter/s for NMAX
I have found NMAXDV (0693A), NMAXF (069EC).

Can anyone help?

good topic,i also h have interest to know what maps need to change to make my injectors open more and inject more fuel in this m3.8.3 ecu?

Also is it possible to raise RPM limiter?where is the RPM limiter?

Can someone please explain why my old N75 valve behaves like this? (left column)
I tested the Valve, resistance was okay, it clicked when tested with vcds and i did all the other stuff described here
http://www.tt-eifel.de/index.php?n75

So whats the difference between old and new N75?

Include TB angle, and turbo hardware/ mapping version.
If the conditions for both pulls are the same -gear and TB angle and mapping, then one on the left is working (the one you labeled defective) and the one on the right would appear to be in response to less load being calculated. Ie the ecu calling for extra load by ramping up "output" n75 duty cycle. this one may not be working or you have another issue.

Edit: im not 100% sure if this was the same gear like before. I will create some new 4th gear pulls soon.

It will be easy to understand if you compare them with maps playing simiral role in well documented ME 7.5. I think they can be compared as follows (ME7.5 vs ME3.8.x/ME5.9.x):
LAMFA (+ KFLBTS & KFDLBTS & KFFDLBTS + KFLAMKR & KFLAMKRL + ?KFLF) = (KFLF) Lambdakennfeld bei Teillast
NMAX = (NMAX) Drehzahlbegrenzung
LDRXN = (LDSMXN) LDR-Sollwertbegrenzung
?KFMIRL = (KFLDS) Kennfeld LDR-Sollwert
?KFMIOP = (KFTLWS) Kennfeld für tL - Berechnung aus Drosselklappenwinkel, Nockenwelle spät
KFZW = (KFZW) Zündwinkelkennfeld
?KFDLULS = (KFLUL) - Lastschwelle für Turbo-Überladeabschneiden
?KFLDHBN = (KFLDSHK) Kennfeld Höhenkorrektur für LDR-Sollwert
KFMLDMX = (KFMLDMX) Luftmassendurchsatz ML-Schwelle für B_maxflr-Diagnose HFM/HLM
KFLDRL = (KFLDTV) TV - Kennfeld für LDR

Where on earth do I find the acronym list ??  How does Drehzahlbegrenzunget abbreviated to NMAX?

I have trawled ecuconnections and I have obviously missed  the list of map abbreviations.

I have the damos abbreviation pdf and it doesn't list any of these. Please assist if possible,

Ever heard of Alpha/N? N is pretty much a universally accepted abbreviation for engine speed, if you don't know that, then you need to check some basic things again.
As for the other abbreviations/acronyms, they've all been posted here and elsewhere.  Some of the similarities above are wrong too.

Thanks for the explanation of NMAX. So... NMAX is the Maximum engine speed (RPM).  As discussed earlier in this thread, the m3.8.3 does not have a NMAX value and the RPM limiter is calculated.

From a bit of self discovery, I have enabled the ID column in Winols which shows me all the abbreviations in the M3.8.2 Definition file. I finally know what you guys are referring too when you start rattling out abbreviated terminology. Slow and steady..

I am currently comparing m3.8.3 manual translation projects created by pvl (06A906018R) and automan01 (06A906018CG).

But even for the first map '(KFLF) Lambdakennfeld bei Teillast', the offsets are different between the 2 projects.  Then I search the offsets for KFLF in my 06A906018CH ori file, and the offsets are different again.

Is this quite common that different ecus in the same m3.8.3 family have differing offsets? Or should they be identical?

Welcome to the Bosch world! you should see on newer cars, where the maps still exist but are different sizes from a sw version to another.
