Hello, when we should change the maximum torque maps in MED9.1?

I see I lot of moded files maxed the maximum torque related maps like:

KLMIMAX, KLMIMAX_UM, KFMI_UM, KFMOF, KFMOF_UM, KFPZU, KFPZU_UM, KFMDBGRK, KLECOBG, KFMGES, KFMIFALS

Can we avoid changing them?

Thanks.

Why do you want to avoid changing them? Do you know what role all these maps play or you just don't want anything to do with "torque"?

Because I see this comment below from @prj and my car is not very far removed from stock Smiley

@prj:
"Never EVER touch any _UM maps. They almost never need any changes, only in extreme situations with cars very far removed from stock - people who do this do not understand the ECU."

I think I figured out how to avoid changing the maximum torque maps.
Just leave the original values in the KFMIOP and change only the Load axis.

This shows you really haven't understood anything about how the torque calculations work in a ME(D) ECU.

I bought the car with a Stage 2. All the above-mentioned maps have been changed.

Yesterday I restored all the values in these maps to the original ones, then changed only the Load axis of the IOP and respectively the values in IRL. The result is exactly the same as before. No torque interventions or anything else wrong.

So I think it works without changing the maximum torque maps in MED9.1

I wonder what will be the difference if I run 220 Load on 92% (KFMIOP max original values) or if I change KFMIOP to 99% at the last Load axis?
