a pro tells me 550 euros for the original flexfuel 1.8t without adding a sensor, nothing.
frp 4 bar 0280156065 I know it's a shitty setting. But I wonder what percentage they make. +20%?25% and they let the trims do?... I would like to make myself a "flexfuel" file and an E85. I'm not looking for a Formula 1 setting. and maybe some pro manages to make a good flexfuel with 1.8t all origin??

Hint: EGT uses pwm as does alcohol sensors... Im sure someone will pick up what im putting down.

they log the EGT live and adjust to lamdba 1? there is no exact calculation? it's ca?test, setting, test, setting and we find an average that's not too bad?capable of burning between 65 and 85% depending on the season. so injection time (TVUB?), KRKTE and ignition time ++ and setting cold start..idle. it's secret defense? when I think that in Brazil they have been driving with it since the 70s. we do well ... in France.

You are not going to do anything yourself. You can't even use command prompt on a computer, because as you proudly state "I am not a computer scientist". This requires re-writing routines in assembler to do right, which you will never do.
If there is someone offering 550 for real flexfuel solution with ethanol sensor, then go buy it. It's super cheap.

Hint: EGT uses pwm as does alcohol sensors... Im sure someone will pick up what im putting down. There's ready made products like the Zeitronix ECA. You can use it to either output 0-5V signal or even put it on CAN... Getting the signal to the ECU is not the hard part. On port injection you need to do a ton of blending of cold start maps (on DI cold start just works because of the superior atomization), then blending of load target, boost precontrol, ignition, injection at a minimum. It's a pain in the ass to implement and a pain in the ass to tune. Take that from someone who's done it.

thanks for the professional help...
I'm talking about spitting alcohol in a 1.8t of 2000 to do 20miles/day and go fishing. I'm not asking to go to the moon with perfect fuel trims.
but it seems annoying...

So just put ethanol in it, and tune it. And if you need to run gasoline flash a different map. You are the one who is talking about flex fuel here. Is it possible? yes. Are you going to do it? never.

that's what I plan to do ... an SP ECU and an E85. the question was badly worded ok. a noob can't do a flexfuel ok. but a pro? can he do a correct flexfuel without an alcohol sensor on 1.8t stock?

Without E85 sensor it's not flexfuel, and calling it that is BS.
I mean sure, there are some OEM bins with virtual ethanol calculation, but I'm sure that's not what's being done.
Just de-limiting the lambda trims does not make it flex fuel, nor will it start properly when cold.

thank you, however the pro does it. he told me 550euros flexfuel without adding a sensor, or same price 100% e85 all that with stock injectors.or 690euros stage 1 +e85 with bigger injectors.just n75 and coils has changed.i imagine the shitty adjustment they make without a sensor. yes I'm talking about an old car...mine is 22 years old

When the winter / cold weather arrives, raise some cold running enrichments when needed. Or store the car in a warm garage or use a block heater. Or just pay someone who does actual flex fuel system. I myself use a flexfuel "piggyback" device that extends the opening times of the injectors based on the ethanol sensor. It works and even when cold it works well enough (has some estimated cold running increments), but of course that has nothing to do with programming, and is not free either...

Thank you TeknoFi finally an answer that motivates me to continue. for cold starts I will manage with unisetting. yes it will be far from a professional setting but hey my old B5 is worth 2000/3000e so I will not invest 1/3 of the price for ride e85. the project is to learn and have fun with e85

Does long fuel trims have effect on cold start?

It is a truly awful non-solution. I just can't wrap my head around this level of slovenliness

it is above all the only solution that I have, with the help that I receive, with my level and with my budget.
