What are you even asking? There is no question in your post.

The quality of new user posts and threads has gone downhill massively recently.

Is it possible for somebody who doesn't know what they're doing? No....
Is it possible for somebody who does know what they're doing? Sure....
Would it be easier and more worthwhile to ditch the GIAC tune altogether and go a different route? Most definitely.

you can try to desolder flash and eeprom from your bad one and solder them on a spare one with the same O2 measurement. You would be better off if you read them in bootmode and programm to a spare one.
