Open loop isn't an issue as you aren't trying to maintain tight control of a specific target AFR, If everything else is calibrated nicely then control is typically within 0.01 lambda anyway.

As long as everything is running alright sure.
But if you get some vacuum leaks for example, then in open loop your part throttle will be screwed up.
On a race car, maybe, on an every day car - IMO bad idea.
