8E0909518M

but DON'T try to write until you are able to backup the file that's on there. If you can't establish a read session, chances are you'll have just as much trouble writing. If writing fails, you have to remove the ecu and use boot mode.

Okay, thank you for the info. I belive that the ECU is READ protected somehow, becouse it has been chipped att the local tuner by me.

So i need the original firmware for my car... How do i get that?

Is there a sticker on the case, or an aftermarket chip/socket in the ecu? Have you taken the ecu apart and verified the layout? The chip should be clearly marked. I know reading/writing will fail if the wrong layout is selected.

Poor bugger,

Here's your ORI-file.

Choose 800BB or 800AB  as chip (1meg). Best thing to do : open-up ecu and look what the chip states.

Get it out of the car and inspect first. Make a pic and post it here please.

I think you will have a problem getting it into that ecu via software for reprogramming it, due to the current tune.

Why replace a tune for a original file ? Bad tune ?

Let us know.

Cheers,

Hi! Thank you for the replay.

I think it´s bad tune.

Hade the car tuned first and the clutch broke down. Replace it with sachs performance race clutch.
Bought 250 cells race-cat from 034 motorsport, Tuned it again at the local tuner, and now the car wont respond werry well.

It drinks fuel now! and the effect was not that great what i was hopping for.

Take it back to the tuner and tell him you are not satisfied and you want to return to stock.
You may not get a refund? But he should not charge you to return to stock.

okay... i´ll maybe go back to the tuner, but first i would like to log the car. Is this possible without the tuned.bin file?

The ECU seems to be read protected from the dealer. So i have to tune the car to stock, to get a log... am i right so far?
