Start CMD FLASH, scroll to VW and DSG is up top...
Chose your generation and ID...
Only late G5 in SA were via CAN so should be OBD read/ write...
Not sure if this works on the clone as the SW version was incorrect...

Only official cmd tool can operate on dsg! This protocol is new (few month) and the clone tool 1251 has 3 year old.

Be carreful with cmd1251 clone, i've broke few ecu with this tool few years old!

Why?  pro tuners make the stuff everyone "learns" from on here? they just spend more time on things making it perfect rather than a canned tune to get done and sell thats all.

everyone tends to specialize on their own cars, so obviously everyones more in depth with their own cars.  If i were apr, id spend a few weeks, make good power, then move on to the next car in line.  Cant spend ages on 1 car you know...just business.

agreed but recently I decided to buy a tune from someone on one of the other forums and to be honest I wasnt impressed with some of the changes made. Look clearly the guy knows his stuff but when I see things like KFMLDMX just put to 1200kgh except in the first row/column it makes me wonder....

and as you say this is for my own car and I prefer being able to firstly learn how it all works and secondly be able to play and make changes as I go.
