Tuning the car without pressure testing is a waste of time.
If you are sure your TVUB is correct, then rescale axis on FKKVS to allocate more sites to the problem areas.
Remember that input to fkkvs is te, not ti.

You should be able to have sub 2% fuel trims if everything is linearized correctly.
Usually I just do a ton of logging with different loads, and then plot the lambda correction against the FKKVS map as a matrix.

Necrobump.

I've been having fun with these lately as well. Firstly, I tried modifying my TVUB according to the spec sheet. Idle STFTs went to ~-25%. That didn't look right (KRKTE is more or less correct), so I went to read around and found out that there are multiple reports about these injectors being highly non-linear. But since they come stock on some ME7-equipped volvos, I decided to just look at stock volvo TVUB first.

One of those volvos is S60R with B5254T4 engine. Its "working" fuel pressure is also 4 bar, which is perfect for my application. Here are stock bins, for example (thanks, guitar24t!) I took the bin from the first post, for AT car, and started looking.

Found TVUB at 0x23790, confirmed by disassembly. Factor for voltage looks funny (0.01 vs 0.0704 for audis), but here's the data:

8V 1.8144
10V 1.2
12V 0.7648
14V 0.4992
16V 0.3808

I used 0.032 as a factor for latency itself, it appears correct for the CPU used.
Also, a good "sanity check" for latency factor is "ms" axis in FKKVS map. It uses the same one and if the axis looks funny - your factor is most likely wrong.

Anyway, FKKVS is at 0x23520. I won't post it here, but it's not THAT non-linear and ranges from -2% to +6% across the board.

EDIT:
These TVUB values along with correct KRKTE (0.07448 for 4.2 V8 engine - this will be different for other displacement and/or cylinder amount!) and completely flat (1.000) FKKVS brought me -1 to -1.5% idle and spot on ( 0 to -0.8 ) cruse LTFTs. Therefore, TVUB for these injectors seems to be completely different from the data circulating around on that spec sheet.

Remember the Volvo uses a DECOS fuel system Wink

I bought those injectors and couldn't find the right specs for them. Right now Im calculating the krkte for 450cc flow, krkte 0.07271 (stock krkte is 0.10301 for 1.8T AUQ 317cc).
I got close to zero on idle trim and ltft, but the numbers keep changing as I run with it, but always stay under -7% and zero for both.
can someone confirm the right flow and tvub for them?

These injectors are not linear in response at middle pulsewidths.
They will need quite significant adjustments in fkkvs compared to EV14's, which are super easy.

thank you for your reply!
would the fkkvs be different for each setup (different cars) or just based on the injectors non linearity?

Yes.

can you confirm the right tvub table for them? I managed to get idle and ltft pretty close to zero on e100, but with stock tvub. I couldn't find the right tvub for them.

could someone please confirm the right tvub for those injectors? need to figure that out first in order to start fixing fkkvs. would be great if someone can tell the right tvub table for them.

I think I posted the stock Volvo TVUB for these injectors a few posts ago?

I thought since was told that volvos use a DECOS fuel system and the factor for the tvub was different to the audi one, that those values were wrong for our use. Am I right?

is this one right? 0280155"8"68 instead of 0280155"9"68? also I read here that those spec sheets are way of. Im sorry if I may sound ironic or complaining, just want to point it out.
