Hi,

I'm absolut new in this stuff. My english is not the best please be permissive :-)

I tried to read the ECU from my 1998 S4 B5 with NefMoto ME7 ECU Flasher.
It conects but after 5 seconds the conection breaks up with:

Disconnecting because no response was received for the Tester Present message.

I tried original Ross tech device and one other usb device... nothing worked.

Whre is my Problem?

I attached the log perhaps it helps you.

Thank you!

This happened to me the other night. I just closed Nefmoto, unplugged and replugged in the obd to usb dongle. I waited to make sure I heard and saw that the computer recognized the usb was plugged in and reopened nef then went on as usual.

You will never be able to flash your 98 in car due to the cluster.

Hi,

by the way ddillenger, what is the reason why its not possible to flash to 98 from obd? You mention that cluster is the reason, because of noisy k-line?
