immo-off files are eeprom files (512 bytes), not flashes (ECU flashes are 512k or 1Mbyte)

you do not want to write them with nefmoto.

Read the "Understanding/retrofitting Immobilizer" sticky in the cluster section.

There are literally 5 or 6 tools all uploaded to this site that will turn it off.

I want to say a big THANKS to ddillenger for his "Understanding/retrofitting Immobilizer" write up and thread especially for the ME 7.1.1 section.  I was able to delete my immobilizer from my 2001 a6 ecu with ease. For all you Newbies read that thread completely it will answer all ur questions. However I used a AUDI A4 IMMO3 IMMOBILISER READ WRITE tool I got from eBay which I found easy to use.  I use the tool to write the immo off download from ME 7.1.1 section to EEPROM 95040. The tool also make it very easy to calculate immo pin if thats all u want to do. Here is the link to tool if and one want to check it out. http://www.ebay.com/itm/110948642581?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649

Flash an M-box file Smiley

Then with VCDS change the softcoding to 06711

I tried flashing my ECU with an M-box file. However engine started and shut off. Check and got fault for immo. Now ecu is a me7.1 from a A6. But when I flash it with the file  ME7.1.1 OFF.bin the car starts and run. What can I do to prevent the ECU from looking for the TCU.
