A monkey with a hex editor can find that.

What he needs is nvquot_w ram value location, so he can log it in each gear and set the limits correctly.

Haha, all that should have to be done is recalculate NVQUOT6U with the new gear ratio.
But for completeness:
nvquot_w - 0x381FD2

Nice!  It would have been easy to xref the BBGANG maps and define the RAM location from there prj Smiley

If a monkey with a hex editor finds the NVQUOTs, then another monkey with IDA can xref them to BBGANG. Cheesy

Calculating gear ratios is a lot more work and more error prone than just log nvquot_w for 3 seconds in each gear and punch it in.

You don't need any other files, what you need is just log nvquot_w from the ECU in each gear and set the boundaries correctly.

Thanx, but actualy I've used VCDS logger until now. I'm trying to log via me7logger, but there is no "echo from FTDI" I tried blue cable and VCDS cable, but without sucess. So thank you for your reply, but first I need any decent logger  Smiley

i took the gear ratio table, calculated the difference to oem file and changed the file down for the TDI Gearbox in gear 4&5&6

Gear 4: 11% lower rpm/kmh
Gear 5: 20.8% lower RPM/kmh
Gear 6: 21,8% lower rpm/kmh

based on the oem pdf from audi with the donor gearbox

Did you take different main ratio? I checked that yesterday and my calculations were as follows:

5,656
5,656
5,656
1,706
5,656
28,296
same as yours, a % lower rpm/kmh. I used FTL gearbox vs DSY which s4 na used probably.

For anyone else out there wondering whats up with the wiki info, the address is scalar and its two bytes, with a 0.007813 multiplier.
