Hi hope someone can help.
I sold my Cupra and now brought a VW Golf with the AGU engine. I believe its the 3.8.3 with the ecu 06A 906 018 CG. So just have a few questions I'd like to be clear about.
1 - This can only be written and not read with a MPPS cable. (which I have)
2 - A wire from pin 43 (ECU) to 12v constant will allow MPPS to write. (any diagrams of the pins would be appreciated)
3 - Anyone have an original file I can use to tune?
Bit gutted it aint as easy as the ME7 which I was getting me head round  Cheesy

As I cannot read my original file, can I adjust that one and flash that without any immo problems?
Also any idea what kind of maps I need to adjust? Im only looking for stage 1 adjustments so I shouldnt need to adjust fueling too much as its only a K03.
Cheers

You can't read M383 with MPPS, just write it. For now the only way to read it is to desolder 29F200 flash eeprom. Also you can read serial eeprom & RAM using Monoscan.
For stage 1 you can find excelent info here in the forums, take a look:

Good luck.

Cheers Eliot I take a look at those links in a bit when I get home.
I got no means of reading the original file so I have to work with the one posted above. I compared it to another original and that one is altered slightly so a little confused wether that one or the other one is really an original. Next car I get I'm going back to ME7 it's a lot easier lol.

Which one is complex or easier depends of many things. ME7 itself is by far more capable (also complex) than M383/M592 but also requires more time to understand how to modified/tune it accordingly. The problem is the lack of information the M383/M592 ECUs have (at least in english forums) make it hard/difficult to tune it to the max.

As an overview: information & practice is everything, and do wonders.

Yeah think I might bite the bullet and get it remapped, I enjoyed working on the me7 not so much on this. Still maybe I give it another try..... I love this golf so might be worth it.

The problem is you are trying to undertand M3.8 from an ME7 view...think M3.8 is before ME7, you have some torque orientation (desired load values that are correlated to torque values) but much more simple view of process (it didnĀ“t manage torque with intervention in lambda, TBI or advance, but only in N75 PWM)
