So there's a .kp file for a ch box ecu, which is basically the same thing as a p box which Iso  have now but with a wideband o2 sensor.  (At least it seems to be)

I downloaded the .kp from another member and imported it over top of my original .bin, and it's actually showing maps and everything.  This means that these maps lined up and are true correct?  Changing these variables will work?

There's not much info out there for this ecu (From what i can find).

Also there is no kfkhm, or kflf maps which according to the s4tuning wiki is how you actually change real fuel map and not just the constants.  Am I missing something here?  Because people say this is a full definition.

I've also loaded the ch box .bin with the ch box .kp and its missing ther as well.

Point me in the right direction please  Undecided

Tried using ctrl-f to search and fount out that it does have those 2 variables, but i still need answers to those other questions.

Just because the maps show up does not mean they are in the right spots. You have to look at the maps you want to modify to be sure they show sane values.

There is no fully defined CH map pack on the forums. http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=1204.0title= that is the most complete CH definition to my knowledge. That has KFKHFM and KFLF for sure, but I'm not quite sure those are what you want to adjust for fueling.

When it comes to most factory ECU's there isn't per say a global fueling map.  If you are requesting the correct lambda/AFR you would like and are not meeting your target then you will need to correct the problem in the calibration . Knowing where the calibration issue is a whole different issue. It sounds like your looking for a lambda/afr request which is "Open loop AFR" in the wiki.

After looking at a known to be good .bin with the correct .kp I understand whats happening.  My maps didn't line up correctly before so it all seemed like nonsense (which in a way it was).   

I have an apr tune on my ecu which I guess has been rearranged to scramble the tune, leading to more prior confusion.  Now that that's all out of the way i've been reading through the s4 wiki and seeing what has been mapped out on my ecu and what hasn't.  How are single digit variables able to be defined?  Since it doesn't have a map that winols finds, such as the emissions system info.

Check out the 018P map pack I posted as its got a bit of relevant emissions stuff in there. At least it was enough for me to delete the SAI, cat and post-cat O2 on my ATW.

Oops got so caught up in the s4 wiki that I forgot to look at the last few maps  Roll Eyes . Do you go through emmisions?  Does your car pass or are these just turning them off but not setting readiness?

I'm a proud Michigander so emissions testing is totally off my radar.  On my setup, everything that's been eliminated is simply listed as unsupported.  I couldn't speak as to whether or not that would pass your local municipality's emission test requirements.

Hmmmm well that sucks for me haha.  Does anyone else have experience in setting readiness?  At least for the cat, because it looks like i can change the "correct flow value" to 0 for the SAI which I'm thinking should make it pass readiness.  I'm going to get an aeb head sometime, and as many of you know, it has no port for SAI.

Check this out, it's a fairly in-depth discussion on the matter.

I read through it a little but its pretty technical so I'll really go through it when I actually take off the sai and everything. 

And I read somewhere that you can take an m-box tune and put it on a ch-box.  Is this the s4 m-box that I see people talk about?  Cause if this is the case wouldn't I be better off using the m-box tune and changing it for my needs because it's a fully defined set.

I'm pretty sure it can't be this easy or else everyone would do it haha, but just wanna check.

You cannot run an S4 M-box in an 018CH.

You can run an 018M in an 018CH and vicer versa though.

You can run an 018M in an 018CH and vicer versa though.

I figured that, thanks for confirming it though.  In your opinion is an 018m or 018ch tune better?  Do you know which is currently more defined or closer resembling to a file thats more defined?
