Hey guys, I really (REALLY) didn't want to have to make a thread for this, but I'm having issues.

I'm trying to get a dump of the ECU on my 2009 VW Rabbit (2.5L 5-Cyl, N/A, CBUA Engine Code, ME7.1.1 ECU?)

I can't find any specific instructions.

I've tried NefMoto with Windows 8.1, Ross-Tech genuine HEX-CAN, Ross-Tech Drivers, 2DXX or whatever drivers, etc.
Finally I gave up and assumed that windows 8.1 was what was causing the issues (plus I had an ignition issue and playing with the drivers broke my VCDS installation), so I reimaged with Win 7.  I can not get ANY other program to recognize the ECU other than VCDS... (V-Tune, Nefmoto, Lemmiwinks, ME7 Flasher Tools, etc.)

I'm not even having issues with reading the Hex (I wish I was, that'd mean I could flash read/write!)

Someone please tell me I'm missing something stupid.  Right now, Running Win7 SP1 Ultimate x64.  Uninstalled Everything but VCDS and Ross-Tech Drivers (because I need to be able to diagnose this stupid ignition issue)

I just want to dump the ECU so I can go through and take off the speed limiter and possibly play with timing/injection maps...  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I'm an IT contractor by day, programmer by night, car dude by whatever time I have left, so I don't feel as though the actual process should be this bewildering to me.

Here's my VCDS Scan of the 01 module:

Nefmoto is not going to work with this ecu I'm afraid.

Is there a program that will communicate with this ecu? Or am I stuck having to get a unitronics flasher/C2NER flasher to do any sort of tunes?

Also, from that can you tell me what model ecu it is (I thought it was a Bosch Motronic ME7.1.1)
What "box" it is? (I see a M and an N at the end of the numbers)

It's disappointing that I won't be able to do a dump of the ecu to take off the speed limiter... Such is life I suppose...

It is an ME7.1.1, but it's a CAN-bus ME7.1.1 with an ST processor. You can read it with MPPS.

Can I use my HEX-CAN cable with MPPS?  I know this is the Nefmoto forum, but I think you might be able to tell me the answer faster than researching it.  Thanks for the pointer!

An '09 2.5L is not ME7.1.1 it's ME17... Your car has no MAF, right? Should just have a blank MAF housing without an element taking up the place where it used to go on the earlier cars.
