Ok guys, I've been reading forever. I have downloaded NefMoto free software, and tunerpro. I own a 2001 Audi 1.8t awm engine with a ch box. I have downloaded the awm ecu from this site and tried to open it in tunerpro, but all I can view is the hex code. I just wanted to get a feel for what I'm into prior to flashing my 01. Now I'm going to assume that is because I don't have the xdf? Am I on the right track, or did I give myself a headache for no reason. I love the idea that this website is based upon, this should be what it's all about. Thanks goes to Tony, and all who made this possible, even if it takes me a long time, it beats paying 900$ for maestro 7.

P.S.- Is there anything I can do to help? I own a 01 a4 awm, and a chipped 99 a4 aeb. I'm willing to try to bench flash or whatever (I like the pictures, I think I can do that:)

Ok, just an update more so for anyone reading it. Last night I was able to plug in an xdf.file from a gti 1.8t and was able to see some scalars/tables. I hate being so new, but I'm assuming that I should see way more than 21 tables? Anyway, I'm making slow headway, but its forward at least. Any information would be greatly appreciated, Tia.

So I read on a random thread while trolling google that CH and M box will line up.  I grabbed the XDF off S4wiki for the M box and plugged it into TunerPro.  I'm new, so I'm not quite sure exactly what I'm looking at yet, but there are lots of tables and graph available.  How will I know if it doesn't line up exactly?

I think I'm getting it... if there are no values, it doesn't line up...

But it looks like almost every one lines up, as there are data and tables filled out.  Fuel consumption seems to be missing values, but otherwise everything I've checked thus far has values plugged in.

Yes, as a matter of fact he did figure it out. Then he went on to become a productive member, later creating a wonderful thread (which I have linked you to twice now) that contains everything necessary to tune your own car.
