Hi all,

am I correct in thinking that you need some form of OBD2 adaptor to use MPPS to flash a Bosch 3.8.3 ECU?

Adaper that pulls OBD pin 13 to +12V, or ecu pin 43 to +12

AFAIK you can not read it. You should be able to write if you supply 12v to pin 43 on the ECU or pin 13 on the OBD port.

exactly reading only with desoldering

but no need.

What is your SW number ? You can find an ori here to modify and flash
